On June 21-28, the aroma of coffee will spread in the ethnographic region of Lesser Lithuania! The national cultural road „Vētrungių kelias” and cultural heritage tea and coffee producers „Dvaro kavos” invite you to the „Vētrungių and Coffee Days”. In the entire region of Lesser Lithuania, residents and travelers will have the opportunity to enjoy an authentic drink of Lithuanian culinary heritage, which is made from local raw materials (acorns, barley, carrots, chicory) and flavored with milk.
There are even two opportunities to celebrate the Windmill and Coffee Days in 2024! The first is the 180th birthday of weather vanes. in 1844 June 26 the government order „Regarding proper order in the fishing business” was published, so this date can be considered the birthday of the windsurfers of the Curonian Lagoon, when separate boat markings were invented for each village. On the second occasion, the intangible cultural heritage project provided by the Šilutė Culture and Entertainment Center together with its partners added to the national compendium. In it, the tradition of our region emerged – the revival of coffee drinking culture in Little Lithuania.
Coffee is an aromatic drink, sweetened with milk, which children and adults used to drink during breakfast, lunch or at the end of the day's work. Along with a fragrant cup of coffee, the hostess served a piece of homemade cake. Every Lithuanian woman had her own secrets for preparing this traditional drink, which is why we often hear different recipes for making coffee.

Come to Little Lithuania and taste this exceptional drink! This year, partners and friends of „Vētrungių kelias” will treat travelers to a cup of coffee:
