The Šilutė cultural center is located on the main, historical street, Lietuvininkų street. Not only the unique design of the building can impress, but also what is hidden behind it.
The surroundings of the Šilutė Cultural Center are decorated with a pond that speaks with the sounds of nature, Vytautas Balsis's symbolic sculpture „Flood” for the Pomeranian region, the Kraštieų avenue of oaks and lindens, which welcomes you in every season, planted back in 1989 by the people of the Pomeranian region.
There are 37 employees working in the Šilutė cultural center and the center's departments. Since June 25, 2012, the center has been managed by director Jūratė Pancerova.
The mission is to educate, nurture and satisfy the cultural needs of the community, to ensure creative self-expression, to represent the activities of amateur art collectives, providing opportunities to get to know the country's professional culture.

Šilute culture center is adapted for people with disabilities:
• Adapted entrance to the auditorium.
• The 404-seat hall has 3 seats adapted for spectators with mobility disabilities.
• Each floor of the center and all rooms are accessible by elevator.
• There are toilet cubicles adapted for people with disabilities on each floor.
